A great way to engage children and young people with the food that we eat.
We will spend the morning meeting and handling a range of farm animals in a fun, relaxed and supportive way. After time spent tasting and guessing the ingredients of various foods in order to get their senses going, within smaller groups of no more than 4 the children will work together to design and make their own sausage and / or burger. This will involve smelling and / or tasting a wide range of different spices, herbs and fruits, deciding on their preferences and how to balance their choices.

This course is led by Ruth who has CEVAS accreditation, has been a teacher for 15 years and has worked a great deal with children and young people on the farm and around food.
